Spirit

I dream in colors vivid
blood, organs, nerves and muscle
my dreams of the cellular
internal cogs, trusses
and grey convoluted computer
the spiritual encasement
sentient in skin
a universe under a skull
damaged, imperfect
all roads lead inward
and I shall pass
I have seen my charnel ground
my earthly embodiment
left to decay in dreams
of releasing my spirit
forever
