Mystery of Life

On my darkest day
I found myself mortal
stitched with cobweb
not rivets or bolts
fragile
jellyfish spine
grey matter perched
gently on a
delicate silk pillows
a fountain of tears
pure cumulus puffs of
fantasy and love
baskets of empathy
one mile in everyone's shoes
gripping pain of others
owned me without mortgage
or sealed deed
good deeds alone
will not satisfy my lust
for life and pondering

I

ask

what

is

this

mystery,

Life ?
